Based in the heart of Leeds, we are usually found at home in the Carriageworks Theatre on Millenium Square. Groups rehearse and perform at a variety of venues including in Tingley, Morley, Chapel Allerton, Adel, Thorner, Bramley and others.

We negotiate for space hire and organise logistics on behalf of our member groups. This gives confidence to our members that they know someone is making sure there is always space available, and assurances to the venues that their spaces will be used well.
We seek out public and private funding options to enable our groups to continue doing what they love, and serving the community. Together we are stronger.
While we don’t interfere in the running of each of our member groups, we are always ready to lend a helping hand – Our team draws on talent from all the member groups.
Our team of adjudicators attend every performance by member groups and give constructive, technical feedback on how to improve, recognising the achievements of the individual members and groups as a whole.
We have facilities for storage of costumes, props and set which is available to all member groups. Our secure site offers incredibly low rates with easy parking.
Changes in policy, funding and operations don’t always reach a small group. As a larger organisation we have the opportunity to learn the latest news, inform our members and start planning accordingly.
The Board of Trustees work to ensure that Leeds Community Arts Network thrives. They are all members of one or more Leeds CAN groups and are not paid for their time or services. They bring with them their skills and experience, and an enthusiasm to make the world a better place.
